InfoComm 2026 by the Floor Plan: 890 Stands Where Islands Held 80% of the Floor
Original analysis of 890 stands and 558,763 sq ft at InfoComm 2026 (Las Vegas Convention Center), measured from the show's own published floor plan - the most island-dominated floor we have measured, on the show where the demo IS the booth.
Final plan: 843 of 857 stands reserved when InfoComm 2026 ran (Jun 17–19, 2026). This analysis describes the floor as it stood.
- 890 stands, 804 companies, 558,763 sq ft across the LVCC's North and Central Halls - effectively sold out (11 stands unassigned on the plan).
- Islands held 80% of the floor - the most island-dominated floor we have measured (NAB 74%, AHR 68%, IMTS 35%).
- Only 35% of stands could not hang a sign - the LOWEST no-sign share we have measured; at the AV industry's show, overhead visibility is the norm, not the exception.
- Concentration was extreme: the top 100 stands held 49.9% of the floor, and the biggest true exhibitor stand was Crestron at 8,800 sq ft.
- The two biggest blocks on the plan were not exhibitors: a 20,700 sq ft food hall and the 17,871 sq ft keynote theater.
How we measured this
Every figure comes from the InfoComm 2026 published floor plan. Booth polygons are stored in inches, so each stand gives an exact width, depth, square footage and position, and from the coordinates we derive each stand's open sides - the classification the build rules key off: inline (no hanging sign), corner, peninsula, island (full height and sign rights).
Checks before we trusted any of it: dimensions land on clean trade-show sizes; the organiser's own show information names North and Central Halls as the exhibit space, which is exactly what the plan contains; and island classification correlates with stand size as it should. One honesty note that matters on this plan: the two largest polygons - a 20,700 sq ft catering block and the 17,871 sq ft keynote theater - are show features, not exhibitors, and we report exhibitor superlatives with those excluded. The plan was retrieved in August 2026, after the June show ran, so these figures describe the floor as it stood.
The most island-dominated floor we have measured
Classifying every stand by its open sides: 413 islands - 46% of stands - held 80% of the floor area. Only 316 stands (35%) were inline or corner positions without sign rights, the lowest no-sign share of any floor we have measured.
| Floor (measured the same way) | Islands' share of floor | Stands that cannot hang a sign |
|---|---|---|
| InfoComm 2026 | 80% | 35% |
| NAB Show 2026 | 74% | 44% |
| AHR Expo 2027 | 68% | 56% |
| SEMA 2026 | 65% | 46% |
| IMTS 2026 | 35% | 73% |
The reason is the product: at the AV industry's own show, the booth IS the demo. LED walls need viewing distance, audio needs isolation, control systems need a room to control - and all of that pushes exhibitors toward open islands. Central Hall ran at a median of 400 sq ft across 480 stands; the North Hall space added 410 stands at a median of 200, including the mega-stand row where the biggest true exhibitor stands sat: Crestron at 8,800 sq ft, then Shure at 5,600 and Q-SYS at 5,400.
Concentration followed: the top 100 stands held 49.9% of the floor - half the show in a ninth of the stands. If you exhibited outside that hundred, you were surrounded by companies whose booths are their product catalog. That is the hardest floor in the industry to look good on a budget - and the one where a rented wall from the show's own vendor ecosystem is judged by professionals.
What this means before InfoComm 2027 (Orlando)
InfoComm alternates coasts: 2027 moves to Orlando, combining InfoComm, RESIDE and Lightapalooza under one badge, with dates to be announced on the organiser's site. The floor shape travels with the show - expect islands to dominate again - so the 2026 measurements are the planning baseline that exists.
If you book an island: you are competing overhead against 400+ other islands. Sign rights are table stakes at this show; what separated stands on the 2026 plan was demo quality at eye level - which for an AV audience means the wall itself is the credential. Pixel pitch, brightness and uniformity get judged by people who sell those specs for a living.
If you book inline or corner: you are in the minority (35%), which cuts both ways - fewer peers at your scale, and giants across every aisle. The play is depth, not breadth: one demo done perfectly beats a compressed product line. A backlit SEG wall holds its own against LED at conversation distance, at a fraction of the freight.
The rent-vs-own math is different at InfoComm. Most exhibitors ARE display companies showing their own hardware; if that is not you - a software, control or services exhibitor - renting the display layer locally beats shipping it, and we say that as a Las Vegas house that rents both LED walls and lightboxes: for Orlando 2027, source near Orlando or confirm freight early.
We measured NAB Show 2026 - the LVCC's other giant media-tech floor - the same way: see the NAB floor-plan analysis for the comparison, and the series index on RE+, SEMA, AHR 2027 and IMTS 2026.
Frequently asked
How many exhibitors were at InfoComm 2026?
We measured 890 stands belonging to 804 companies across the LVCC's North and Central Halls, totalling 558,763 square feet - with only 11 stands unassigned on the plan, effectively a sold-out floor.
What was the average booth size at InfoComm 2026?
The median stand was 300 sq ft and the mean 637 sq ft. Central Hall ran bigger (median 400 sq ft) than the North Hall space (median 200 sq ft), and the top 100 stands held half the floor.
Who had the biggest booth at InfoComm 2026?
Among actual exhibitors, Crestron at 8,800 sq ft, followed by Shure (5,600) and Q-SYS (5,400). The two largest blocks on the plan - a 20,700 sq ft food hall and the 17,871 sq ft keynote theater - were show features, not exhibitor stands.
Could exhibitors hang signs at InfoComm?
Mostly yes - only 35% of stands were inline or corner positions without sign rights, the lowest share of any floor we have measured. InfoComm is an island show: 413 islands held 80% of the floor.
Where is InfoComm in 2027?
Orlando, combining InfoComm, RESIDE and Lightapalooza under one badge, per the organiser's site (checked August 2026; exact dates to be announced there). The show alternates between Las Vegas and Orlando.
