Original analysis of the NADA Show 2027 floor plan (expo February 18-20, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando): 492 stands measured from the show's own published plan - a floor with one stand left in August, where islands hold 92% of the area and the median booth is 400 sq ft.
As of September 1, 2026: 494 of 494 stands reserved · 0 open · 0 on hold. NADA Show 2027 runs Feb 18–20, 2027 at Orange County Convention Center — 169 days out. Availability figures in the text carry their own pull date; this line moves with the plan. Check any booth →
- The floor is effectively sold out ~6 months early: 492 of 494 drawn stands are reserved, 1 is on hold, 1 is available (late-August 2026 plan).
- Islands are 57.3% of stands and hold 91.8% of the floor - the highest island share we have measured (RE+ 2026: 70.5%; SEMA 2026: 53.4%).
- The median stand is 400 sq ft and the average is 780 - the biggest-budget floor per exhibitor in our ten-show dataset.
- 62% of exhibitors are in island or peninsula stands that may hang overhead signage - at NADA the air war is the main event, not a privilege.
- The floor belongs to dealer technology, not carmakers: Cox Automotive holds ELEVEN stands totaling 21,200 sq ft (5.5% of the whole floor), Reynolds and Reynolds six stands for 13,000, and Tekion and CDK Global 9,000 each - all bigger total footprints than Stellantis or Toyota.
- The top 100 stands hold 63.3% of the floor; the 118 10x10s hold 3.1%.
How we measured this
Every figure below comes from the NADA Show 2027 published floor plan — the same interactive plan any visitor can open on the show’s site. The plan stores each stand’s polygon and area, so every booth yields an exact width, depth, square footage and position.
From the geometry we derive what a booth number cannot tell you: how many sides face an aisle. Open sides set the booth class — inline, corner, peninsula, island — and the class sets the standard display rules, including who may hang overhead signage. Counts below use the 492 stands marked reserved on the late-August 2026 plan. The expo runs February 18–20, 2027, inside the February 17–20 show, on the OCCC West Concourse.
One stand left, six months out
Of 494 stands drawn on the plan, 492 are reserved, one is on hold, and exactly one — a 100 sq ft inline — was still marked available when we pulled the plan on August 29, 2026. For comparison, the AAPEX 2026 plan still showed 143 open stands ten weeks before its show date.
If you sell to dealers and you are not on this floor, the waitlist is the floor. And if you are on it, every neighbour you will have is already knowable — which is the point of reading the plan as data.
The most island-dominated floor we have measured
Ten measured shows, and nothing else is close: islands are a majority of NADA’s stands and hold nearly all of its area.
| Booth class | Stands | Share | Floor area | Hanging sign |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Island | 282 | 57.3% | 352,050 sq ft (91.8%) | Yes |
| Corner | 137 | 27.8% | 20,600 sq ft (5.4%) | No |
| Inline | 50 | 10.2% | 6,800 sq ft (1.8%) | No |
| Peninsula | 23 | 4.7% | 4,200 sq ft (1.1%) | Yes |
The median stand is 400 sq ft, the average 780. At AAPEX the median exhibitor is in a 10x10; at NADA the 118 10x10s together hold 3.1% of the floor. This is a floor where 62% of exhibitors may go overhead — so a hanging sign alone does not differentiate you. Everyone has air rights; the question is what you fly.
The giants are dealer software, not carmakers
Two OEMs top the single-stand list — and then the software takes over.
| Stand | Company | Size |
|---|---|---|
| 4679 | Stellantis | 6,000 sq ft |
| 1979 | Toyota Motor North America | 5,600 sq ft |
| 1501 | Tekion | 5,000 sq ft |
| 3201 | Solera | 5,000 sq ft |
| 1921 / 2220 | CDK Global (two stands) | 4,500 each |
| 1945 | ACV | 4,500 sq ft |
| 3544 | DriveCentric | 4,500 sq ft |
| 721 | VINCUE | 4,500 sq ft |
But single stands understate the real story. Sum each company’s stands and the OEMs drop out of the lead entirely:
| Company | Stands | Total floor |
|---|---|---|
| Cox Automotive | 11 | 21,200 sq ft — 5.5% of the entire floor |
| Reynolds and Reynolds | 6 | 13,000 sq ft |
| Tekion | 2 | 9,000 sq ft |
| CDK Global | 2 | 9,000 sq ft |
| Pinewood.AI | 2 | 8,000 sq ft |
| Stellantis | 1 | 6,000 sq ft |
DMS platforms, auction tech, CRM, inventory software — the dealer-technology arms race is the visible story of this floor, fought as multi-stand campuses rather than one big island. It sets the production bar too: if your competitor set is this list, you are competing with general-session grade booths, LED walls included.
What this means if you are exhibiting at NADA 2027
- Everyone can fly a sign, so a sign is table stakes. On a 62% overhead-rights floor, differentiation moves to what hangs — lit fabric structures and LED get looked at; printed discs do not.
- The median neighbour is 400 sq ft. Budget accordingly: a 20x20 island here is an average stand, not a statement.
- In the 38% without air rights, go bright, not tall. Corners and inlines hold 7% of this floor's area; an edge-lit SEG lightbox back wall is the counter to being surrounded by islands.
- Orlando logistics differ from Vegas. The OCCC has its own drayage and rigging regime. We build in Las Vegas and ship and install nationwide — tell us your booth number and we quote to the venue's rules.
