PRINTING United Expo returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center on September 23-25, 2026, and its floor plan is already the most complete document anyone will publish about the show. We measured every stand on it on September 1: 884 drawn, 820 reserved by 803 companies, 371,435 square feet of floor already spoken for - with 40 stands still available and 24 on hold, three weeks out. What follows is what the plan says, not what the industry says about itself: a floor where half the exhibitors cannot hang a sign, where a third of the stands are 10x10s that together hold under 8% of the space, and where the biggest names in wide-format and digital print sit in 5,000 sq ft islands on the Central side.
Key takeaways
  • 884 stands drawn, 820 reserved by 803 companies, 371,435 sq ft reserved as of September 1, 2026. With 40 stands available and 24 on hold, the floor is 93% reserved - 95% counting holds.
  • 50.1% of exhibitors (411 of 820) are inline or corner stands and cannot hang a sign under standard display rules.
  • 35.5% of reserved stands are 10x10s (291) and together they hold 7.8% of the floor; the 323 islands (39.4% of stands) hold 75.0% of the area.
  • The largest single stands are M&R Printing Equipment (C1561) and HP Large Format/Textile & Industrial (C1715) at 5,000 sq ft each, then Epson America (C1945) at 4,800. Summed per company, Agfa's two stands make the largest footprint at 5,600.
  • The plan draws North and Central as one level. The C-numbered Central side holds 519 reserved stands and 63.7% of the floor; the N-numbered North side is smaller-stand (40.2% 10x10s vs 32.8%). Both halves are exactly half sign-restricted.
  • 40 stands were open on September 1: 16 inline, 19 corner, 4 islands, 1 peninsula, 5,500 sq ft in total. The largest is C3575, a 20x30 island; two 20x20 islands (C3497, C3583) are also open.

How we measured this

Every figure below comes from the PRINTING United Expo 2026 published floor plan — the same interactive plan any visitor can open on the show’s own site. The plan stores each stand’s polygon, so every booth yields an exact width, depth, square footage and position.

From the geometry we derive what a booth number alone cannot tell you: how many sides of each stand face an aisle. Open sides set the booth class — inline, corner, peninsula, island — and the class sets the standard display rules: an inline or corner stand is typically limited to about an 8 ft back wall with no hanging sign; peninsulas and islands may go overhead. The show’s own exhibitor manual governs if it differs.

The plan draws the North and Central Halls as a single level (its own label is “North Hall & Central Hall - Level 1”), so hall-by-hall figures below are split by the booth-number prefix the show itself uses: C for the Central side, N for the North side. The North Hall meeting-room level carries no stands. Counts use the 820 stands marked reserved on the September 1 plan; the plan draws 884 in total, with 40 available and 24 on hold. There is no Vivid show page for PRINTING United; this analysis stands on its own.

Ninety-three percent reserved, three weeks out

At 22 days before doors, PRINTING United’s plan is as close to final as a plan gets. 820 of 884 stands are reserved, 24 more are on hold, and the 40 still open are almost all small: the median open stand is 100 sq ft, and 35 of the 40 are inline or corner positions. The four open islands are the exception - a 20x30 at C3575 and two 20x20s at C3497 and C3583 - and they are the only way onto this floor with overhead sign rights at this point.

What that means in practice: anyone still deciding is deciding about a 10x10 or a 10x20, and at three weeks out the sensible product is a rental with graphics turned quickly, not a build.

Half the show cannot hang a sign

Open sides set the class, and the class sets the rules. 411 of the 820 reserved stands - 50.1% - are inline or corner, which under standard display rules means roughly an 8 ft back wall and no hanging sign. The other half, 86 peninsulas and 323 islands, may go overhead, and the islands alone hold three-quarters of the floor.

Our sightline model over the plan - a relative model of where people can walk, not a headcount - puts the median inline or corner stand at about 8.6 times the aisle visibility with a 16 ft in-booth tower than with an 8 ft back wall. On a floor where half the exhibitors are capped at 8 ft, height you are allowed to add inside your own footprint is the difference between being seen down the aisle and being seen from the aisle.

A 10x10 show with a big-iron top end

The median reserved stand is 200 sq ft, but the distribution is two floors in one. 291 stands (35.5%) are 10x10s holding 7.8% of the area; at the other end, 38 stands of 2,000 sq ft or more hold 29.3% of it. The top 100 stands hold 50.2% of the floor; the top ten hold 11.3%.

Summing every stand a company holds - the only fair way to rank a floor - the biggest footprints belong to the press and wide-format makers:

No stand on the plan exceeds 5,000 sq ft. That is the same ceiling we measured at AAPEX 2026 across town in November, and well under the 14,000-18,600 sq ft stands that top NAB and World of Concrete in the same halls.

Central and North: one level, two floors

The show numbers its stands C for the Central side and N for the North side, and the two halves read differently. The Central side holds 519 reserved stands and 236,575 sq ft - 63.7% of the floor - with 73.3% of its area in islands. The North side holds 301 stands and 134,860 sq ft, is more island-dense by area (78.1%) but more 10x10-heavy by count (40.2% of its stands vs 32.8% on the Central side). Both halves are exactly half sign-restricted, and both have a median stand of 200 sq ft. Of the 40 open stands, 23 are on the Central side and 17 on the North side.

Still open on the September 1 plan

Forty stands, 5,500 sq ft in total, median 100 sq ft. Sixteen are inline, nineteen are corners, one is a peninsula and four are islands. The islands are the ones worth a call: C3575 (20x30, 600 sq ft), and C3497 and C3583 (20x20, 400 sq ft each). The 10x20 corners at C4101 and C4201 are the best of the rest. Availability changes daily this close to a show; our plan re-pulls nightly and the Booth Reality Check reports any stand’s class, sign rights, neighbours and sightline from the current plan.

What this means if you are exhibiting at PRINTING United 2026

  • If you are one of the 411 inline or corner stands, you cannot hang a sign, and half the floor is in the same position. Height inside your own footprint - an LED tower, a backlit SEG lightbox, an LED poster at the aisle edge - is the compliant way to be seen over an 8 ft back wall, and it is exactly what a printing-industry audience judges you on: the quality of the graphic.
  • If you are on an island, you are competing in the 75% of the floor that can go overhead, against 5,000 sq ft neighbours. An LED video wall is the fastest way to make a 20x20 read as a destination rather than a stand.
  • Three weeks out is rental territory. Custom fabrication does not fit the calendar; a Las Vegas rental with your graphics installed on the floor does. We are local to the LVCC and quote to the venue’s rules.

Tell us your stand number and we will quote from the plan: LED video walls, SEG lightboxes, LED posters, or a free quote. Every measured show sits side by side in the Floor-Plan Almanac.
