Because we are physically in Las Vegas, the under-one-week row is real rather than theoretical — the booth does not have to survive a freight lane to reach Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
The deadlines that actually bind at Mandalay Bay Convention Center
- Graphics are the real clock — dye-sub fabric prints in 5–7 business days, or 48 hours on a rush. Lock artwork first; everything else can move.
- Electrical — the advance-order discount (typically 30–50%) is the first thing you lose. If it has passed, order anyway; floor pricing beats no power.
- Drayage — Mandalay Bay routes freight through the show's general contractor with standard CWT drayage; the south-Strip location keeps trucking simple from the I-15 and the airport.
- Labor — Union labor handles rigging and electrical; smaller inline booths can often be hand-carried and self-built within the rules.
- Local advantage — It's a long walk from some halls to the docks — stage your crates and tools to avoid mid-show runs.
Timing: PPAI Expo runs each January, and a January show means your graphics and freight deadlines land in the middle of the holidays — print shops and carriers both run short weeks, so lock artwork in November.
